BenefitU offers benefits planning to people age 14 or older who qualify for Washington State Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). There is no cost to use this service.

SSA Cash Benefits

The Social Security Administration offers federal cash benefits to people who have a disability which affects their ability to work. These include:

Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
Social Security Childhood Disability Beneficiary (SSCDB)

Medical Benefits

Medicaid and Medicare are types of public healthcare.

Medicaid is a joint federal and state program for people who have low income. It provides health coverage and can pay for important services, such as in-home support or employment assistance.
Medicare is our nation’s public health insurance. People who receive Title II benefits may be eligible for Medicare.

Other Benefits

Other Benefits, such as Basic Food, Section 8 Housing, and Unemployment can help a person pay for their living costs. These benefits are often based on individual or household income or may be available when a life change happens.
