Benefit U

At BenefitU.org, you will find information, tools, and tips about different benefits programs. You can also create a BenefitU account and learn how income and life changes may affect your benefit situation.

If you have more questions or a problem with your benefits, visit the Get Help page. There, you can find links to government agencies, resources, and organizations that provide benefits planning services, including BenefitU.

BenefitU offers benefits planning to people age 14 or older who qualify for Washington State Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). There is no cost to use this service.

Benefit U can help navigate the following benefits (and more)

SSA Cash Benefits

The Social Security Administration offers federal cash benefits to people who have a disability which affects their ability to work. These include:

  •    Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

  •    Medicare is our nation’s public health insurance. People who receive Title II benefits may be eligible for Medicare.

Other Benefits

Other Benefits, such as Basic Food, Section 8 Housing, and Unemployment can help a person pay for their living costs. These benefits are often based on individual or household income or may be available when a life change happens.
